- The availability of cancer drug therapy is a growing problem for Canadians. According to the Cancer Advocacy Coalition of Canada, or CACC, cancer drugs that may be easily attainable in one province may not even exist in another. This lack of consistency could be a matter of life or death for some patients. The CACC states that not only are the drugs not universally available, but also, the funding for the medications and the integration of the drugs with other therapies, such as surgery and radiotherapy, lack stability. The CACC warns that this lack of medical commitment violates the Canada Health Act and has suggested that Canada develop and implement a country wide drug plan to provide equal and adequate care to all citizens.
Denis | |
